THE HEALING PROCESS
Immediately following treatment you will experience some swelling and redness. If your doctor is aggressive during the procedure, the area treated will appear red for a longer period of time. In most cases, this issue resolves in one to three weeks. During that time, with the exception of the first few days post-treatment, you may apply makeup to tone down the redness. Normal activities may be resumed, in most cases, within 5-7 days.
Your physician will discuss your treatment needs with you during your consult. The results will vary depending on your age, degree of sun damage and skin type, as well as what parameters your physician uses. However, patients who have had the eCO2 procedure, report significant changes in only a single treatment.

Everyone experiences pain or discomfort to varying degrees. Your doctor will determine how to minimize your discomfort during the procedure. Topical anesthetics are applied and sometimes oral medications are prescribed. Administering nerve blocks is another option that completely numbs the area being treated.
Within a few days, new skin will appear that is smoother and more even-toned. Your skin will continue to improve over six to nine months as the new collagen builds replacing the old collagen.

To ensure your comfort, your practitioner may opt to apply topical numbing cream to the treatment area approximately 45-60 minutes prior to the laser. Most patients describe the eCO ToneTM sensation as warm, tingly, and easily tolerated.
Sessions range from 10 to 20 minutes depending upon the area being treated.
You will experience mild redness following your eCO ToneTM treatment and you will be able to resume normal activities immediately. Makeup and moisturizer may be applied based upon direction from your provider, typically within a few hours. The treated area may retain a pink, slightly tender look and feel for approximately 48 hours.
Depending upon your expectations, you may see results after a single eCO Tone treatment. Some skin conditions could require multiple visits. Discuss your aesthetic goals with your provider.
