Solari™ (SPL Photofacial)

solari- before-after- Arion skin laser

What is it?

Solari™ SPL

The Solari by Lutronic is a versatile treatment which can be used in skin resurfacing and hair removal with the use of Intense Pulse Light Therapy (IPL), also known as photorejuvenation. It can treat skin irregularities, freckles, sun damage, pigmentation and light brown spots or melasma.

It deploys short pulses of light via square pulse technology, ensuring a flat, even amount of light per pulse to reduce the risk of side effects and ensure a reliable, consistent result. These pulses of light reach beneath the skin’s surface where unwanted pigmentation (melanin) lives. The heat breaks down the pigment into tiny particles small enough for the body to excrete through its lymphatic system, or rise to the surface of the skin in the form of scabs which naturally exfoliate away within a week or so.

After your technician ensures a cleansed face, you will be given goggles to wear and he or she will apply a cold gel to your skin. It should take about 20 minutes for your technician to get through your entire face with the device, covering inch by inch with the Solari™ device. You will feel short pulses of light, which feel like a rubber band snapping against the skin. You will experience some redness, which will go away very quickly or within a matter of hours.
