Hollywood Peel

What is it?

Hollywood Peel

The Hollywood Peel is one of our most popular advanced skin treatments in Vancouver, and even in Hollywood. This versatile laser treatment plays a key role in gently but effectively exfoliating the skin, reducing large pores and clearing acne. The result is clearer, healthier looking skin. The Hollywood Peel works by zapping skin cells with a short pulse which destroys excess pigment without damaging the cell. The Hollywood Peel is well known in the industry for its reliability, safety, and versatility.

HOW IT WORKS

The Hollywood Peel is a 3-step process. The first step is the application of a topical photo-enhancer carbon lotion that will seep deeply into the pores. In the second step, acne scar treatment will be applied to the facial area causing stimulation of the skin cells.

In the third step, the laser will then be used to create a peeling effect to remove the topical photo-enhancer lotion. As the laser passes through, it lightly ablates the top layer of dead skin and breaks up pigment into small particles which your body can then eliminate. The heating of the skin’s dermis layer causes it to contract and stimulate the rebuilding of collagen.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Once your practitioner applies the Spectra carbon-based lotion to your skin, he/she will apply the laser energy to the skin, during which you will hear light snapping sounds when the laser is fired. It will create a warm, tingling sensation, and your practitioner will have to do multiple passes over the skin for optimal results.

This treatment is gentle enough to be performed on a monthly basis. In most cases, 3-5 treatments of Spectra Laser for Large Pores will be required for optimum and long-lasting results. It is recommended that treatments are repeated every 2-3 weeks for pore size reduction. While laser treatments are considered to be long -lasting, they are not permanent. Patients can help maintain the new appearance by carefully following post-care instructions and by avoiding prolonged sun exposure. For maintaining clinical results, treatments should be performed twice a year.

A GENTLE TREATMENT FOR LARGE PORES & ACNNE

Our pores are essential to our skin’s health, providing the oils that keep our skin soft and supple. Many women, however, look at their face in the mirror and feel plagued by enlarged pores or acne. Large pores occur for many reasons. Some individuals are genetically predisposed, while others simply aren’t cleansing properly. There are a variety of measures ranging from over-the-counter exfoliating scrubs to microdermabrasion that can help reduce the appearance of your pores.

If you are looking for an acne treatment or a solution to enlarged pores, The Hollywood Peel is the answer. The Hollywood Laser Peel got its name from its popularity with celebrities. Whether you’re walking the red carpet or want to look fabulous for a wedding or a special occasion, it can help you look and feel amazing without needing to cover your skin in makeup.

EFFECTIVE TREATMENT OF MELASMA

Melasma is a common skin problem resulting in brown patches. It stems from hormonal changes and sun damage, and affects both women and men. Spectra laser is considered the gold standard to treat pigment disorders and the best brown spot skin remover. Typically melasma laser treatment consists of weekly sessions for 10 weeks to ensure that the unwanted pigment is gently removed and that the body’s immune system can respond to clear the removed particles.

It is important to allow adequate time for results to occur. Melasma treatment is a gradual process that requires 6–8 sessions to produce effective results. With no downtime and minimal side effects, you may immediately return to your daily activities.
