Sublative eMatrix Skin Rejuvenation in Vancouver

Sublative eMatrix is a non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve the appearance of uneven skin texture, fine lines, wrinkles and certain types of scarring. The treatment uses fractional radiofrequency energy to target small areas beneath the skin’s surface while leaving surrounding tissue largely unaffected.

By delivering controlled energy into the skin, eMatrix encourages the body’s natural renewal response and supports new collagen production. Over time, this can help the skin appear smoother, firmer and more even in texture.

At Arion Skin Laser in Vancouver, Sublative eMatrix treatments are customized according to your skin concerns, treatment area and individual goals.

How Does Sublative eMatrix Work?

Unlike traditional resurfacing treatments that rely primarily on laser energy at the surface of the skin, eMatrix uses fractional bipolar radiofrequency energy. The energy is delivered through a patterned applicator into targeted areas of the skin, creating controlled zones of treatment beneath the surface.

This process stimulates the skin’s natural healing response and encourages collagen remodelling. Because the treatment is fractional, portions of the surrounding skin remain untreated, supporting the recovery process.

Treatment settings can be adjusted depending on the condition being addressed and the characteristics of your skin.

What Can Sublative eMatrix Treat?

Sublative rejuvenation may be recommended for people who want to improve visible skin texture and signs of skin ageing without undergoing surgical treatment.

Common concerns treated with eMatrix include:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven or rough skin texture
  • Acne scars and other textural scarring
  • Enlarged-looking pores
  • Mild skin laxity
  • Uneven-looking skin tone and texture
  • Overall skin rejuvenation

Your consultation is important because not every scar, wrinkle or skin concern responds in the same way. We assess your skin first and recommend a treatment approach based on what is most appropriate for you.

Sublative eMatrix for Acne Scars and Uneven Skin Texture

Acne scars can vary significantly in depth, shape and appearance. For people with textural acne scarring, Sublative eMatrix can be used to stimulate collagen within targeted areas of the skin and gradually improve the appearance of uneven texture.

Rather than simply treating the outermost layer of the skin, radiofrequency energy works beneath the surface where collagen remodelling takes place. Improvement develops gradually as the skin goes through its natural renewal process.

Depending on the type and severity of your acne scars, eMatrix may be recommended on its own or as part of a broader skin treatment plan.

What to Expect During an eMatrix Treatment

Before treatment, your skin will be assessed and prepared according to your personalized treatment plan. The eMatrix applicator is then passed over the selected area, delivering fractional radiofrequency energy in a controlled pattern.

The length of an appointment depends on the size and number of areas being treated. Sensations during treatment vary from person to person, and we will discuss preparation, comfort measures and aftercare with you before your procedure.

Following treatment, temporary redness, warmth, mild swelling or a textured appearance may occur. Your provider will explain what to expect and provide individualized aftercare instructions.

When Will I See Results?

Sublative eMatrix is designed to stimulate a gradual skin-renewal process rather than create an immediate cosmetic change.

Some people may begin noticing improvements in skin texture as their skin recovers, while collagen remodelling continues over the following weeks and months. The number of treatments recommended depends on your skin condition, treatment goals and response to previous sessions.

During your consultation, we can discuss a treatment schedule based on your individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.

Is Sublative eMatrix Right for You?

You may want to consider Sublative eMatrix if you are concerned about acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles or uneven skin texture and would prefer a non-surgical approach to skin rejuvenation.

However, suitability depends on several factors, including your skin condition, medical history, current medications, previous procedures and expectations.

A consultation allows us to examine your skin, discuss what you would like to improve and determine whether eMatrix or another treatment available at the clinic is the more appropriate option.

We recommend 3-5 treatments on average, with 4-6 weeks in between each treatment.

Most patients will have some redness and swelling in the treatment area which will begin to improve after 3 days, for which you will be provided a cream to apply. After 1-3 days, small pinpoint crusts will appear where the applicator tip came into contact with your skin. These will naturally exfoliate away on their own, however, you can cover them with makeup should you wish.
