ThermiSmooth Face is a self-controlled radiofrequency (RF) energy treatment that’s intended to fix fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. It’s usually performed on the cheeks, around the mouth, and on the neck, but it can also treat the forehead and around the eyes.
The procedure works by using controlled radiofrequency, which safely heats the skin. This causes some collagen to shrink, which allows your skin to tighten and smooth. ThermiSmooth® Face is performed by using radiofrequency energy and a temperature-controlled hand piece. By using small, circular motions, your provider will gently roll the hand piece on the surface of your skin, while heating targeted tissues below your skin. Patients often say it feels like a warm massage.Most treatments last about 30 minutes, but your procedure may take longer, depending on the area being treated. You will probably need to have several treatments over the course of weeks to reach your desired results. Every treatment is tailored to every individual patient. You may notice changes immediately after treatment, but it typically takes three to six months before you see complete results, and as long as you continue with maintenance sessions, you should keep those results.
One of the greatest things about ThermiSmooth is that it doesn’t use fillers or an injection. The process forces your body to naturally produce more collagen, so you know it’s safe. Most people have no complaints of pain or discomfort after the procedure. In rare cases, patients have reported minor swelling and redness, but this is usually not a problem.
